Hello Everyone!!
I am here again to give you a few pointers on what to eat while at work. This is a very touchy subject for me, because as you all know I am an EMT, and being an EMT I do not eat the best or the healthiest. It is very hard to find foods that I can eat on the go that are healthy, and everyone gets tired of eating sandwiches everyday, so hopefully these suggestions will help me and you to make better decisions than eating doughnuts and hamburgers.
Some yummy foods you can get on the go that are delicious and healthy are fruits, such as bananas, apples, and oranges. They are delicious and very healthy. Other snacks instead of potato chips eat pita chips or Popchips, or even veggies with some low fat ranch is WAAAAY better the eating greasy (yet yummy) cheeseburgers.
Smoothies, salads, almonds, Greek yogurt, things such as these will help you curve your appetite by tiding you over until you can find a healthy dinner choice. Such as things low in fat and high in protein to help fill you up with the good stuff.

I know what you mean, I don't see EMT's or other health care personnel come into Wendys' very much for lunch but we do get some and you can tell they are always in a hurry. I think that's great that you would make suggestions for alternatives to grabbing a greasy burger, but I am pleased to say we do offer more healthy choices now such as flatbread and salads. No smoothies yet but I'm sure they are on the way!
ReplyDeleteHello Jada,
ReplyDeleteI thought I responded sooner than this but, I am sorry that it didn't post! But I agree Wendy's is probably one of the best places to get food out there, fast food wise, but when I do go there, I never get the healthier choices I always end up eating something horrible like the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger or the chicken nuggets. Even though, I have tired their salads and are a huge fan it's just easier to eat some hamburger because it is portable and easier to eat on the run than salad.
